Cameroon: Douala Générale opens a support center for SMEs

After Senegal, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso, Société Générale opens this time a House of SMEs in Cameroon. The new support center for small and medium enterprises, inaugurated on 18 July, is located in Douala.

The initiative is part of the strategy "Grow With Africa"Aims to support African SMEs and to promote entrepreneurship, through an exchange platform, monitoring, consulting and financing, bringing together various players in the financing of companies (investors, accountants, bankers, officials of the State and contractors, etc.).

The structure, present in twenty countries on the Continent account through this program, relying on four regional offices based in Abidjan, Douala, Algiers and Casablanca to unfold its roadmap.

Société Générale, which African SMEs constitute 2/3 of corporate customers, intends to contribute to the growth of the latter by facilitating their access to finance. The ambition is reflected in particular by a 60% growth target loans outstanding to SMEs in Africa in the next five années.L'institution also plans to increase its average growth rate of revenues of 8% per year and profitability greater than 15% on the Continent over the same period.
